Name of Man Killed in Construction Accident Released

Ames Police released the name of the man who was killed in a construction accident at Manatt's on Friday.

The name of a 46-year-old Ames man who died when he was caught in a hydraulic loading door early Friday morning has been released.

 was working partially inside a water tanker truck's tank at when the door closed on him. 

Ames Police Cmdr. Jim Robinson said that Claubaugh listed a trailer on the site as his home address, but didn't have any other information. The death was ruled an accident, he said. The Des Moines Register listed as 42, but Robinson said he was 46.

Clabaugh was pronounced dead at the scene.
