Sgt. Howard Snider Ames Police Funeral Today

The funeral of , 51, who  drowned Sunday in Lake Geode at Geode State Park is today.

Snider's funeral service will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at Cornerstone Church, 56829 US Highway 30.

Snider drowned trying to reach his daughter who was on a fishing boat that drifted from the dock. He went under about 4 p.m. June 17. His body was recovered from the lake about 6 p.m. Sunday.
