Some Routes to Ames School Buildings Closed Monday
Road construction will affect access to the Ames Community School District buildings.

The intersection of 13th Street and Ridgewood Avenue will be closed for about a week starting Monday meaning that most students and parents will have to find a new way to .
The intersection will be closed to traffic starting 6 a.m. Monday for sanitary sewer repair. Construction should last at least a week. Alternative recommended routes are to take Northwestern Avenue to 24th Street to Stange Road to 13th Street. The high school will be accessible from 20th Street and Ridgewood Avenue. From the east take Stange Road to 24th Street to Northwestern Avenue and Northwestern Avenue to 13th Street. The high school will be accessible from 16th Street and Ridgewood Avenue.
Access to the school district's on Stanton Avenue will also be affected by construction starting Monday. Stanton Avenue between Knapp and Baker streets will be closed. The south access to the parking lot will be open. People can take Lynn Avenue to Baker Street or take Welch Avenue to Storm Street and turn north on Stanton Avenue.
