What Caused the South Meadow Apartment Fire?
City of Ames, Ames Fire Department, asks for your tips to determine the cause of a fire at South Meadow Apartments
The cause of a that began in a carport and rapidly overtook an apartment building at remains unknown.
More than 80 people were temporarily left without a home by the July 15 fire that broke out about 5:30 a.m. at the complex on S. 5th Avenue. The 56-unit building is not inhabitable.
The City is now asking for the public's help and will accept tips in the following ways:
