City of Ames Welcomes Students
City of Ames will welcome back Iowa State students in Campustown from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday around the Welch Avenue . A Welcome Back Skate begins at 7 p.m. at the on Mortensen Road.

Pool Party
will host a pool party from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday for 6th through 12th grade students. No parents are allowed. Saturday the pool party from 9 to 10:30 a.m. is open to all ages. Children 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Prairie Moon Music
American swing band, The Dang Its, performs from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at . The cover charge is $3 and comes with a glass of sangria.
Ben Miller Band at M-Shop
The Ben Miller Band Trio performs 8 to 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the Maintenance Shop at Iowa State University. Tickets are $5-$7 for students and $7-$9 for everyone else. A full list of events is on Iowa State's event calendar.
Lincoln Highway Days
Nevada's city celebration begins in nearby Nevada Friday with a barbecue contest. Saturday's schedule of events includes a parade, dance performances, craft fairs and more. Sunday's events include a tractor pull.Â
