What's Open and What's Closed on Labor Day in Ames

Most City of Ames departments and divisions will be closed Monday, Sept. 3 in recognition of Labor Day. Offices will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The Resource Recovery Plant, Community Center and Weight Room facilities, along with the Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Ave., will be closed on Labor Day. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

CyRide buses will run on the Saturday break schedule on Monday, Sept. 3. The silver 24 route will not operate on Sunday, Sept. 2 or Monday, Sept. 3. For more information, please visit www.cyride.com.

Ames Public Library will be closed and the Book-Mobile will be closed as well.

 will be open, but the municipal pool will be closed. Labor Day is the last day of Furman Aquatic Center's season. Tot time, adult laps and water walking will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Open swim will take place from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday Sept. 3.

The Municipal Pool will resume fall hours Tuesday, Sept. 4.
