2013 Iowa Wrestling Results: Big 12 Football Recruit Earns 3rd in Tournament
Joel Lanning and Austin Anderson finished strong at the Iowa High School State Wrestling Tournament, which ends on Saturday.

The 2013 state wrestling tournament comes to a close on Saturday.
Ankeny had four wrestlers qualify for the tournament, and two wrestlers earned a place at the podium at their weight class on Saturday.
At 220 pounds, Joel Lanning, an Ankeny, Sr., earned third place. Lanning defeated in a 7-3 decision Ryan Maas, an Iowa City junior, on Saturday. Lanning, who led Ankeny to the 4A state title in football, was recruited to play for Iowa State in the Big 12.Â

Austin Anderson, Ankeny, Sr., earned fourth place. Anderson won three matches in the consolation bracket before falling 8-1 to Hunter Genco, a Clinton junior, in the final match.Â
