The development of a 265-acre business park that might incorporate a private airport near the north entrance of town will be discussed in an Ankeny City Council work session Monday.Â
The city is currently working on a master plan for the site called the Otter Creek Business Park. Though it's a business park the Otter Creek Master Plan would also include residential uses such as workforce housing.
The site, sits east of Interstate 35 and north of NE 36th Street. And portions of the park closest to NE 36th Street would be developed first, according to agenda documents.Â
The Todd Field airport located within the Otter Creek Business Park's development site would not be affected by the agreement. But the agreement states that it would allow for development whether or not the airport is in place and would not restrict the airport's ongoing operations.Â
The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be held in Ankeny City Hall, 410 W. First Street.
