Bobbi Buckner Bentz of Ankeny City Council reports that the city is coming closer to finding a new manager to lead the city.
Colin Baenziger, of Colin Baenziger and Associates, updated the council on the city manager recruitment process during the council's regular meeting on Monday June 17.
Bentz said in a Facebook post at Bentz for Ankeny that 46 people applied for the job and that they plan to narrow the field to 12. Then the council will invite candidates to Ankeny for visits and interviews.Â
She asked, "What would you look for in a new city manager?"
