AHS Students Study Water Quality with Conservation Agencies

“What lives in the water tells you about water quality,” Jacklyn Gautsch, an Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) biologist, told the students as they handled and identified creatures they found, which included two caddisfly larvae.

“They are pollution intolerant, so that is a good indicator,” Gautsch added.
