UPDATED: Ankeny School Board Moves Forward with Elementary Project, Signs New Teachers and Coaches
The Ankeny School board approved the sale of $15.9 million in bonds for a new school and accepted a number of new coaches and teachers.

The Ankeny School board moved ahead on the district's 10th elementary school and accepted a number of new coaches and teachers at a special meeting 5 p.m. Monday.
The board approved the sale of $15.9 million in general obligation bonds for the construction of a 10thelementary school building and the sale of $18 million in general obligation bonds for the advanced refunding of other bonds.

Voters approved the $15.9 million general obligation bond for the school's construction in February.
The board also approved new coaching and teaching positions as well as the resignations of other employees.

New coaching positions include: Kati Ploegger, Assistant Fall Cheer Sponsor, Centennial High; Andrew Kruzich, Head Girls Track, Centennial High; Eric Klingensmith, Assistant Boys Track, Centennial High and Tim Long, 8th Assistant Girls Cross Country, Northview.
And new coaching and teaching assignments include:
