Ankeny Students Take Top Prizes in Chinese Language Speaking Contest

Teams from Ankeny High School took second and third place in a University of Iowa Chinese Language competition

Ankeny High School Chinese students participating in the High School Chinese Language Speaking Competition at the University of Iowa won second and third place in the May 4 competition, according to a release from the school district.

Ankeny High was one of seven schools competing in the competition. Students from Ankeny's Northview Middle School also participated. Richelle Manuel, Chad Schultz, Brett Bolte, comprised one team and Samantha Hoff and Samuel Primmer comprised the other.

Both teams entered the first level competition for first and second year students and won second and third place respectively.
