The City of Ankeny is pleased to announce it received the Distinguished Budget Award for its presentation of the FY 2022 Budget. The award was presented by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).

Recipients of the Distinguished Budget Award demonstrate a commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the award, the City had to satisfy national guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines assess how well an entity’s budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and a communications piece. The award represents a significant achievement by a government and its management.

This is the 23rd consecutive year the City of Ankeny has received this award from GFOA.
