City Of Ankeny: Share Your Opinions With The Citizen Survey

City of Ankeny residents are invited to respond to an online survey to provide feedback about city services, quality of life, amenities, safety and other topics as part of its Citizen Survey. Results from the survey will measure past progress and help guide City leaders in planning for the future. The online survey will be open through Oct. 25, 2021. Ankeny residents may access the survey via this link: https://polco.us/Ankeny2021.

In addition to the online survey, the city mailed surveys to randomly selected households last month. Residents who received a survey in the mail are encouraged to complete that survey rather than this online survey. The results from the online survey will be weighted and analyzed separate from the random and scientific sample sent out previously via the postal service. Results from both the online and mail survey will be shared with the City Council and community later this year.

The City is working with Polco, an independent survey research firm, to administer the survey. The survey functions as a consumer report card for Ankeny, giving residents an opportunity to provide feedback on what is working well and what is not, and their priorities for community planning and resource allocation. The survey also allows the City of Ankeny to compare results and benchmark residents’ opinions against other communities across the country. Ankeny has conducted the Citizen Survey since 2003. Survey results from 2018 can be found online.
