Council Will Choose City Manager Finalists July 15

Last week Ankeny Council Member Bobbi Buckner Bentz asked residents about qualities they want to see in a new city manager.

Colin Baenziger, of Colin Baenziger and Associates said that 46 people from 26 states had applied for the job and that they would narrow that list to 12.

The agency will meet with the council again on July 15 to discuss that list of 12 in a closed session. The council is expected to pick finalists for an Aug. 5 interview process at that time, according to city staff.
