Your job description

I am the owner and photographer of Precious Moments Photography. I specialize in maternity, newborn, children and family photography. I offer in studio and on location sessions.

When and how did your business launch? 

I first started my business in 2010, shooting everything from babies to weddings.  After some time, I decided to rebrand my business and focus mainly on maternity/newborn, children and families.  I rebranded in January 2012. After years of going to a box studio to have my daughter's photos taken, I decided to put my years of interest and skill to use and start shooting.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time I like to spend time with family and friends.  I love going for walks with our dog and playing outside with our daughter.

What's the greatest advice you've been given?

I think so many people have been given this same advice, but my Dad always told me growing up to find something that I love to do, and it won't feel like work.  

What's a fact about yourself that most people don't know?

I first started going to college for a photography and journalism degree, but didn't care so much for the journalism part.  I then changed to a paralegal degree, and graduated with that.  In addition to running my photography business, I also work part time as a legal assistant.

'The Laundry List' by Rachel Brenke.

The last movie you saw

 I rented 'Chasing Mavricks' with Gerard Butler recently.  It was a good movie.  Funny, interesting and also heartbreaking.
