Therapeutic Massage Center offers massage therapy for relaxation, stress relief, pregnancy and reflexology. Three licensed massage therapists are on staff. The business is open Monday through Saturday and evenings by appointment. Therapeutic Massage Center has been located in the Heart of Uptown Ankeny for 14 years.

Job Description

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist.  In the state of Iowa you are required to attend a school for massage therapy and then pass the National Board.  After that you are required to attend continuing education courses to keep your license current.  I give massages to help relieve pain, stress and everyday aches and pains.  I also own and operate Therapeutic Massage Center that has been in business for 14 years

How My Business Started

I started the business with another therapist in April 1999.  I have owned the business solely since 2004.

Interesting Fact About Me That Most People Don't Know

I am also a Registered Dental Hygienist.  I began school for dental hygiene and had all of my per-requiste courses and AA degree.  I had always been interested in Massage therapy so I began school and opened The Therapeutic Massage Center 5 months before I begin dental hygiene school.  I love working with people to help them improve their health and feel better in their daily lives.

Something My Parents Always Told Me

To work hard and I could achieve anything!  I would have never believed I would own my own business and be a successful massage therapist for 14 years.

In my free time I

Enjoy spending time with my family, husband Brad and daughter Madelyn.  I enjoy watching Cardinals baseball, bike rides and reading.

My Least Favorite Chore:

Dusting!  I love a clean house and business but dusting is not fun and never stops.

Anywhere warm, tropical especially during the Iowa winters
