John Deere Opens Plant Expansion

John Deere Works on Irvinedale Drive opened its 300,000 square-foot addition this week, according to a report in the Des Moines Register.

The $85 million addition will retain 400 jobs at the site. The new space is where employees will work to assemble sprayers, the report said.

The City of Ankeny has been working to improve SW Irvinedale Drive, in part to handle the additional traffic from the John Deere Works site.
