Water Repair in Uptown Ankeny Closes One Lane of Walnut

Ankeny Public Works expected to complete the repair Friday.

Ryan Comer, Bob Bash, Kenny Bryant and Walt Jackson of The City of Ankeny Public Works department spent hours in Uptown Ankeny Friday repairing a water valve at SW 3rd and SW Walnut streets.

The bad valve was detected when repaving the area next to Stoner Music, Bryant said.

The work was expected to be complete by the end of the day Friday unless the valve was not replaceable.
