Volunteers loaded 43 bed sets from a Davenport furniture store for delivery, aiming to give clients in homeless and child welfare programs a better night’s sleep and a stronger start in their new homes.
   

4. Davenport man accused of threatening children with a crossbow (qconline.com) — Police say a Davenport man is accused of pointing a loaded crossbow at three children during a dispute, leading to criminal charges. While detailed court records are partially redacted, the case highlights a serious local safety concern and will move through the legal system following his recent arrest.
   

5. Davenport Native Creates Aerospace Company to Help Reduce Space Debris (espnquadcities.com) — A Davenport Central High School graduate is helping lead a startup tackling the growing problem of space debris, aiming to protect satellites and space stations. Working with partners in Japan, Switzerland, and NASA, the team is still in early research stages and seeking funding, but their work could eventually put a Davenport native at the forefront of a global space-safety effort.
