National Battery Day is Feb. 18, 2022, and Iowa City is highlighting our convenient drop-off locations for safe battery disposal in Iowa City, Coralville, and North Liberty.

Fire Chief John Grier has retired after 29 years with the department. The public is invited to come and meet the three finalists for his replacement at a public reception this week.

Celebrate International Women’s Day with a virtual evening of music, dance, and spoken-word performances. This event is hosted by the Johnson County United Nations Association.
