Free Wi-Fi Internet Downtown? Iowa City Downtown District is Looking Into It

Interested in free wi-fi downtown? Well the Iowa City Downtown District is looking into it.

The district mentioned that they are investigating the possibility in their most recent e-mail newsletter. What do you think, would it be a worthwhile amenity for the ICDD to pursue? 

Iowa City Downtown District is currently investigating the possibility of providing the amenity of free public Wi-Fi to the downtown.  As wireless Internet access becomes more common, many downtowns are setting up free Wi-Fi hotspots for the public. Many are discovering it's a good way to attract more traffic, keeping people there longer and keeping them coming back. The ICDD is interested in discovering what the value would be to our downtown businesses and patrons in offering free public wireless. Have an opinion on this initiative?
