Iowa City Road Construction: Lane Reduction on S. Clinton Between Washington Street and Iowa Avenue

Starting next Tuesday and running through next Friday there will be a lane reduction on S. Clinton Street.

So it looks like spring road and sewer work season is beginning in earnest.

There was already some work being done on Gilbert Street this week, in addition to the major road project on Lower Muscatine Road starting this month, and now next week there should be some other work done on Clinton Street starting next Tuesday if weather allows.

I'll keep you abreast of new road work as it is announced.

Weather permitting, beginning on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, northbound traffic on S. Clinton Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic from Washington Street to Iowa Avenue. This lane reduction is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new water fire line to a building in the area. It is anticipated that normal traffic will resume by the end of the day on Friday, April 19th.

Motorists are to allow extra travel time as delays may be possible. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling in all construction areas.
