Iowa City Superintendent Responds to Shooting in Connecticut, Offers Tips for Parents, Kids
The school district is forwarding tips from the National Association of School Psychologists to help parents respond to questions from children.

A message from IOWA CITY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT:
Dear ICCSD parents,
We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that occurred in Connecticut yesterday.  No doubt there will be extensive coverage of this on the news and much discussion about it in our homes and communities in the coming days.  I want to assure you that the safety of our students is our top priority and that each building has a comprehensive crisis plan in place to help avoid tragedies such as this. The plan is reviewed and updated annually. Â
