Johnson County Sheriff: Man Grabbed Woman by Neck, Pulled Gun on Passerby in County Administration Parking Lot
The man is facing a felony intimidation charge for threatening the other man, who was trying to come to the woman's aid.

A dispute in the Johnson County Administration Building parking lot turned ugly Wednesday, leading to a man drawing on a gun on a passerby who was trying to break up the argument.
According to a criminal complaint from the Johnson County Sheriff's office, at roughly 1:22 p.m. on Wednesday a man who was in the area of the parking lot noticed another man, later identified as Anthony D. Kendricks, 24, address unknown, grabbing a woman by the neck during an argument.
The man told the sheriff's deputies that he approached Kendricks and attempted to get him to stop hurting the woman when Kendricks pulled a gun on him, according to the complaint.

The passerby told deputies that he was "scared to death" that Kendricks would use the gun, and backed away from the pair, telling Kendricks "you win."
Kendricks, however, was later arrested for the incident and has been charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Class D Felony. He is currently in the Johnson County Jail on $100,000 bail.
On another note, John Deeth, a local politics blogger who works in the county administration building, wrote a blog post noting that this incident might be a good argument for upgrading the courthouse security.
