More Details from Iowa City Stabbing Early Sunday Morning: Two Men Taken to Hospital for Treatment

The Iowa City Police continue to investigate the circumstances behind an early Sunday morning stabbing in downtown Iowa City.


Iowa City Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances behind a stabbing that occurred in downtown Iowa City early this morning, triggering a Hawk Alert.

According to a police media release, at 1:57 a.m. officers located two men who had been stabbed in an altercation near the intersection of Dubuque and Washington Streets. The two stabbing victims were taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment.

The suspect in the stabbing, as was indicated in the Hawk Alert, was described as a short Asian male wearing a red USA jersey.

Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000.00 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect.
