Police: Coralville Man Admitted to Performing Sexual Acts on Six-Year-Old Female Relative
The offense allegedly took place roughly a month ago in the man's home.
A Coralville man is currently in the Johnson County Jail in Iowa City after allegedly admitting to performing sexual acts on a six-year-old girl that is related to him.
According to a Coralville Police Complaint, Dean Michael Pennell, 39, of Coralville was arrested this week and admitted to touching the girls genitals and performing oral sex on her. Testimony from the girl with a police interviewer corroborated this account, according to the complaint. These offenses took place between April and May 2013 in Pennell's residence.
Pennell has been charged with second-degree sexual abuse, a Class B Felony. He was booked into the Johnson County Jail Wednesday morning and remains there on $100,000 bond.
