An Iowa City woman has received multiple felony charges after she was again found in possession of heroin.
According to Iowa City Police complaints, Kimberly Renee Robinson, 46, of Iowa City was arrested after a warrant for her arrest was served for a previous charge of third-or-subsequent offense drug possession, a Class D felony, for multiple previous possession charges of cocaine and heroin. Upon arriving at her home on July 2, officers asked Robinson if she had used drugs that day and she allegedly admitted to using heroin.
Robinson told the officers that the heroin was in a backpack on the premises, according to the complaint. Officers searched a backpack on the premises and found that contained seven needles, a spoon, and residue that was later positively tested for heroin.
As a result Robinson received another third-or-subsequent offense possession of a controlled substance charge. She is in the Johnson County Jail on $10,000 bail.
