If you haven’t heard of hot dog dragon ninjas, then you haven’t spent enough time inside a first-of-its-kind, bilingual workshop at Lemme Elementary School this spring.

Here you’ll find 9-year-old Victor Morales taking a break from his work to show off one of his latest magic marker creations, this one devoted to the letter P. “Pingüino,” Victor says of his tuxedoed bird.

And there’s older sister Erika reading aloud in Spanish about her imaginary blue sailboat and the dolphins that swim alongside her on an ocean trip. “Barco de Erika,” the 10-year-old calls her story.
