Bomb Threat Near Iowa's Kinnick Stadium Turns Out to Be Ginger, Tea, Greeting Card
Police gathered to defuse a possible bomb, but instead found a box full of good cheer at Kinnick Stadium this morning.

It wasn't addressed to any of the officers, but they likely will never be more happy to find a gift package in their lives.
Multiple media outlets are reporting that local law enforcement officials cordoned off the area gathered in the North Parking lot of Kinnick Stadium to investigate a suspicious box that had been found there. What they found inside almost couldn't be more innocuous.Â

Police Investigate Suspicious Package Near Kinnick Stadium (KCRG)
The Iowa City Bomb Squad responded to the scene. A member of the the squad opened the package and determined it was not a dangerous item. Police said the box contained tea, some ginger and a greeting card.

The area was opened up again by noon.
Despite the fact that the package thankfully was not a bomb, the incident highlighted the heightened sense of caution law enforcement is taking after the bombing incident in Boston last week and news that would be terrorists were recently arrested in Canada.
