The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities is predicting a rainy and humid week (at least in the beginning) for much of the state including Iowa City.
- Monday  A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Southwest wind around 10 mph.
- Monday Night  A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. South wind around 5 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Tuesday  A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. South wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Tuesday Night  Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
- Wednesday  Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
- Wednesday Night  Mostly clear, with a low around 60.
- Thursday  Sunny, with a high near 82.
- Thursday Night  Mostly clear, with a low around 62.
- Friday  Sunny, with a high near 83.
- Friday Night  Mostly clear, with a low around 64.
- Saturday  A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 80.
- Saturday Night  Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66.
- Sunday  A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.
