This Week in Iowa City Weather: More Rain and Cold to Start, But Wait, There's Good News

And the good news isn't just that the rain let up long enough for us to dry out a bit.

One step forward, two steps back, two steps forward.

That's how I'd describe the weather forecast for this week in Iowa City. I believe that means by the end of it we'll end up closer to enjoying some warm and dry Spring weather, or maybe we're just linedancing, I'm not sure.

With the warm wind blowing in from the south yesterday our temperatures today should come close to highs in the 60-degree range.

Yes it's going to get cold and rainy again for about a day and a half. But don't give up on this week, yet. As we'll two-step back by the end of the week to warmer temperatures with highs back in the 60s again by Friday.

Even better, Weather Underground's 10-day forecast predicts slight chance of rain over the weekend and highs potentially reaching as high as the 70s and 80s and less rain on the menu next week.

So hang in there. Some good stuff is coming.
