VIDEO: Burglar Plundered Merchandise, Cigarettes from Hookah Cove
Iowa City Police have shared video and are offering a reward in hopes of gaining more information about the burglary at the downtown hookah joint.

Iowa City Police are looking for the public's assistance in catching a hookah burglar.
According to an Iowa City Police press release, on Monday morning at approximately 9:00 am, Iowa City Police officers responded to a call at the Hookah Cove, 357 E College Street, for a report that the business had been burglarized overnight.

Officers viewing security footage witnessed an unknown suspect gaining entry into the business by breaking the glass in the front door. According to the release, once inside the suspect went through several display cases and left the business with a variety of merchandise, including some cartons of cigarettes. The suspect currently remains at large and unidentified.
The Iowa City Police Department is releasing the security video to the public in hopes that someone may recognize the suspect, according to the complaint.

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000.00 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). All call are confidential and a caller's identity does not need to be revealed to collect the reward
