The girls’ team had a tougher outing, falling 59-8, and both squads now look ahead to a road trip to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Friday.
   

• Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Receives $3.5 Million Grant from Helmsley Charitable Trust (kniakrls.com) — Knoxville Hospital & Clinics has secured a $3.5 million Helmsley Charitable Trust grant to buy a state-of-the-art TrueBeam radiation machine for the new South Central Iowa Radiation Center in Pella. The joint Knoxville–Pella project aims to bring advanced cancer treatment much closer to home for Knoxville and surrounding rural patients by early 2027, backed by an ongoing local capital campaign.
