• One person injured, several pets lost during house fire in Knoxville (weareiowa.com) — A Knoxville home on South Lincoln Street was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon, leaving one person injured and several pets dead, according to Knoxville Fire Department officials. Crews battled heavy flames and smoke with three hose lines before declaring the house a total loss, and the Red Cross is now helping the displaced family after the victim was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
