The Marion Civil Rights Commission (MCRC) is currently accepting applications for the Marion Low & Moderate Income Housing Assistance Grant to be awarded in 2022. The Marion City Council has approved up to $20,000 to be used in this grant program.

The grant will help non-profits, charitable organizations or other entities interested in assisting low-and-moderate income individuals with programs that address housing instability in the community. 

The 2021 recipients of program funds included Willis Dady Homeless Services, Marion Cares and Waypoint.

The application period will remain open through March 15, 2022. The materials and application form are now available.

The target date for awarding the funds is May 2022. The commission will make funding recommendations, based on a defined set of criteria, to provide maximum assistance to as many proposals as possible.
