The rankings highlight top teams across all four classes statewide, with Unity Christian leading a strong 2A field that includes Western Christian and other familiar opponents.

• Dakota Exiles ride through area enroute to Mankato (dglobe.com) — A group of Dakota Exiles riders passed through northwest Iowa after leaving Orange City on Dec. 18, briefly halting their journey when a trooper urged them to seek shelter in dangerous whiteout conditions. Their ride toward Mankato honors Dakota people killed, exiled, and abused after the 1862 Dakota War, and aims to raise awareness and healing for ongoing generational trauma.
