• Shelves overflow with food drive competition (nwestiowa.com) — Sheldon Middle School students packed the halls with 3,603 donated food and hygiene items to support classmates’ families before Thanksgiving, with enough left over for Christmas deliveries. Counselors Sherrie Zeutenhorst and Callie Hoelker turned the effort into a spirited homeroom competition, with fifth- and sixth-graders leading the way. All donations stayed within the Sheldon school district to meet needs close to home.
