• $102,000 damage in SUV-tractor collision (nwestiowa.com) — A teen driver from Minnesota and a rural Sioux Center farmer avoided injury in a serious SUV–tractor collision two miles west of Sioux Center, but damage topped $100,000. The crash happened Tuesday afternoon on 390th Street as the SUV tried to pass while the tractor turned left into a field driveway, leading to a traffic citation for improper passing. 
• No. 1 Dordt survives against No. 14 DWU women in GPAC showdown (mitchellrepublic.com) — Sioux Center fans saw No. 1-ranked Dordt hold off No. 14 Dakota Wesleyan in a tight 86–81 GPAC women’s basketball win at DeWitt Gymnasium. Dordt’s Gracie Schoonhoven poured in 35 points as the Defenders used a late surge to erase a fourth-quarter deficit. The victory keeps Dordt near the top of the conference heading into another big home matchup Saturday.
• Sioux Center Man Pleads Guilty to Arson (kiwaradio.com) — A 52-year-old Sioux Center resident has admitted to arson and criminal mischief after a nearby rural Orange City home was destroyed by fire in October. No one was hurt, but authorities say the vacant house was a total loss worth over $100,000. The guilty plea to second-degree arson, a class C felony, could bring a prison sentence.
