Meet A Future Leader In Waukee: Anika Yadav
Patch and T-Mobile have partnered to highlight young people achieving great things in our community.

The future of Waukee is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Anika Yadav, who are making a positive impact in and around Waukee.
During her senior year at Waukee High School, Anika was selected to represent Iowa at the U.S. Senate Youth Program Washington Week, where she met with Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst. She has also served as the majority leader at the 76th Annual American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation and represented Iowa on the Youth Advisory Council.
Anika has also demonstrated her leadership through her passion for small business development. She has served as the North Central Region vice president for the Future Business Leaders of America, making history as the first student to hold this position. Anika was also the youngest ever board member of Pi515, a Des Moines-based nonprofit, and has helped over 40 young women launch small businesses.

After graduation, Anika continued her education at Stanford, currently pursuing a degree in public policy and economics. In the future, she plans to attend law school to pursue a legal career supporting small business entrepreneurship.
