UPDATE: Isolated Thunderstorms Still in West Des Moines Forecast
The National Weather Service advises isolated thunderstorms possible during a week of rain.

This is a good week to replace your half-broken umbrella.
According to a seven-day forecast from the National Weather Service, West Des Moines should be experiencing four straight days with the possibility of rain or thunderstorms.
In fact, the weather forecasting service also issued a hazardous weather outlook for the area, meaning that we may see severe thunderstorms at times through Friday.

And rain seems to be a sure thing; the forecasters put the likelihood today at 80 percent.
But there is some silver lining. Despite the rain and storms, we should all keep relatively warm. The seven-day forecast calls for highs in the 60s and 70s; the normal high for this time of year is 50.
