West Des Moines' Sully's Second in Patch's 'Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day' Contest
Sully's Irish Pub of West Des Moines finished second and Mickey's Irish Pub in Waukee came out on top of Patch's "Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day" contest. Who was your favorite?

It was an Irish battle as hard fought as the Black and Tan War, though much shorter in length.
After five days of voting, one bar has triumped over all others in Patch's "Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day" contest. The victor is in Waukee and  in West Des Moines, just 29 votes shy of the title, finished second.
Patch's Irish pubs included and both in Urbandale.

Owned by husband and wife team Amy and Andy Walsh, Mickey's Irish Pub serves not only as the premiere place to celebrate the biggest Irish holiday this side of Ireland, but also doubles as a great neighborhood hangout serving drinks and food seven days a week.
"We try to make Mickey's as comfortable a place as possible to come out and hang out. That's what makes Mickey's so popular,"Â said Amy Walsh, co-owner of Mickey's Irish Pub. "I'm glad so many of our friends voted for Mickey's."
