The Wichita/Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Center proudly announces the graduation Ceremony for the 2021 Winter Detention Academy Class #7 of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office.  The commencement will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, 21, 2021, at Assembly of God. This is located at 4501 W. Douglas, Wichita, KS. 67209.

Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter will welcome nine new deputies to the Sheriff’s Office. This transition comes after completing seven weeks of basic academy training which included such topics as interpersonal communication, policy and procedure, legal issues, computer training, and defensive tactics.

After graduation the recruits will begin several weeks of field training where they will work as partners with veteran deputies in the detention facility. 

 

A reception for the graduates, family members, friends, and honored guests will follow the ceremony.

 

Members of the media are invited to attend.
