  1. Country music star Lauren Alaina and Circle Network are set to honor Bowling Green with a televised tribute special at 8:30 p.m. this Saturday. Called "Operation Appreciation: Bowling Green," the special will shine a light on the community and its efforts to recover after the devastating tornadoes struck in December of 2021. A Georgia native, Alaina said, "I love my community down here in the south, and I also believe in the power of music. To get the opportunity to come out and show my love and support for the people of Bowling Green was a no-brainer for me." (Broadway World)
  2. General Motors Co. announced Wednesday that production of the Chevrolet Corvette in Bowling Green will be paused early next week due to a parts shortage. "Our supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering teams are working closely with our supply base to mitigate any further impact on production to meet the strong demand for our products," spokesperson Dan Flores said. The company expects to resume normal production on Monday, Mar. 27. (Detroit News)
  3. A celebration of American pioneer and Bowling Green legacy Duncan Hines will return to the city this summer with the first-ever "Duncan Hines Days" taking place from Jun. 5 through Jun. 11. A previous celebration of Hines fell out of fashion after many years due to the city's other celebrations forcing it to keep getting smaller. β€œWith this we thought, how can we take the old festival and name and turn this into something that celebrates more than just the man behind the cake mix, and more of the heritage and culinary and travel and adventure-seeking nature that he had,” downtown development coordinator Telia Butler said.
