Hotel Inc. hosts memorial service to remember unhoused members of community - WNKY News 40 Television (wnky.com) — Bowling Green nonprofit Hotel Inc. has held its annual memorial service honoring neighbors who died while experiencing homelessness in Warren County, while also recognizing those who’ve survived harsh conditions. Staff members stressed the importance of remembering each person by name and highlighted that hundreds of residents are currently unhoused, often living in tents, cars, or on the roadside around the city.
   

3. Best of 2025: Miss Kentucky Ariana Rodriguez (lex18.com) — Bowling Green took center stage in June when Ariana Rodriguez was crowned Miss Kentucky there, earning a $20,000 scholarship that helped propel her to the Miss America top 11. The former foster youth and now University of Kentucky student is using her Lucky Ones Foundation to support children navigating the foster care system.
   

4. Toys for Tots completes final holiday gift distribution in Warren County (wbko.com) — Families in Bowling Green wrapped up the season with Toys for Tots’ final Warren County gift distribution, where thousands of children received presents, meals, and holiday fun. Local volunteers, including some incarcerated individuals, helped serve about 11,000 kids, with donations from Cotton’s BBQ and Clark Beverages ensuring families felt supported heading into Christmas.
   

5. Kentucky Fish and Wildlife looking for Christmas tree donations to create fish habitats - WNKY News 40 Television (wnky.com) — From Bowling Green, state fish habitat experts are asking Kentuckians to donate their real Christmas trees after Dec. 26 so they can be sunk in lakes as much-needed fish habitat. The program helps replace aging underwater cover in manmade lakes, and residents can find nearby drop-off locations on a statewide map before hauling their trees out to the curb.
