• Elizabethtown/Hardin County organization releases statement amid battery plant lay offs - WNKY News 40 Television (wnky.com) — Workers in the Elizabethtown–Hardin County area face major change as about 1,600 BlueOval SK employees in nearby Glendale are being laid off, though they’ll be paid through February 2026. Local groups including the Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation and ECTC are coordinating job services while Ford repurposes the plants, planning a $2 billion investment and at least 2,100 future jobs.
