• Officials propose changes to Terrebonne Civic Center rental rates (houmatoday.com) — If you rent the Terrebonne Parish Civic Center in Houma, expect steady price hikes over the next three years and a smaller discount for nonprofits. Parish officials are cleaning up years of confusing, partly missing ordinances and replacing them with clearer rules on rates, catering waivers, and which groups qualify for discounts. Nonprofits could gain new flexibility to bring their own food and drinks if they meet stricter insurance and cleanup requirements.
