• Relief for Causeway drivers could be on the way. A third tag-only lane opens soon. (nola.com) — Causeway commuters from Metairie should see smoother mornings as a third tag-only lane opens at the Mandeville toll plaza, dedicated to toll-tag users on weekdays. The Causeway is also staffing its Metairie and Mandeville offices to help more drivers sign up for discounted toll tags. Regular users could save money and cut wait times by switching from cash. 
• Christ Episcopal Covington names new '26 head of school (nola.com) — Metairie readers may be interested that St. Martin’s Episcopal School’s upper school head, the Rev. Charles Latour, has been tapped to lead Christ Episcopal School in Covington starting July 1. The longtime educator and former Archbishop Hannan High leader will take over in 2026, guiding the growing independent school that’s part of the same regional association as Metairie Park Country Day and St. Martin’s.
