Staff are providing individualized treatment and hope to return all 35 Kemp’s ridley turtles to the Gulf this spring, and they’re asking locals to report any stranded turtles or marine mammals.

From keeping Christmas trees watered and flame-retardant to safely hanging lights and maintaining heaters, officials stress simple steps that can protect homes, gifts, and lives during the festive season.

Fans gather in New Orleans to honor Anne Rice's immortal legacy (wwltv.com) — New Orleans just hosted a long-awaited, 1,400-person celebration of Anne Rice’s life at the Orpheum Theater, blending film, theater, and local music steeped in the city’s culture. Fans from around the world filled downtown on All Saints’ Day, many in vampire costumes, to honor the hometown author whose stories helped outsiders feel seen and embraced.
