• Sandbuckets for Seniors program helping Auburn locals stay safe as winter weather rolls in (wmtw.com) — Auburn is again offering free Sandbuckets for Seniors, delivering sand to homes so residents can safely navigate icy walkways, driveways, and steps this winter. Now in its 11th year, the Public Works program serves about 300 locals and is open to anyone with mobility or lifting challenges. To request a bucket, residents can call Auburn Public Works at (207) 333-6670.
